SMB Managed IT Services – Sales Solutions Consultant – Kansas City, MO

If you love technology sales, this is an opportunity for you to help customers with a comprehensive suite of services including helpdesk, server management, 24/7 network monitoring, backup, cloud computing, vCIO services, and cybersecurity. This will be a new market, so there will be no barriers to target clients!

Responsibilities:

  • Attends initial and ongoing training on Company products, the Company business and effective sales techniques; retains and applies skills and knowledge learned in training sessions.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers/clients and proactively develops new customer relationships through several avenues including cold calling, telemarketing, networking events, referrals and several organized lists: travels throughout assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit current or future opportunities.
  • Manages current customer clientele providing monthly/quarterly reviews, best practices recommendations, areas for improvement, status reports, service reports and leasing/service contract data.
  • Evaluates customers' business scenarios, qualifies customers' needs and develops solutions utilizing any and all core competencies of the Company including hardware, software and services.
  • Works closely with clients during all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to both clients and potential clients; develops and maintains relationships with multiple positions within the organization.
  • Responsible for meeting objectively set sales goals determined by Sales Manager and Branch Manager.
  • Maintains all data regarding sales calls, forecasts business and customer files in the Company provided CRM according to standards set by the Company.
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate personal and corporate goals.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms, prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and coordinates all follow-up.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of the Company's production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Maintains a personal calendar and keeps it updated on a daily basis.
  • Maintains a neat, groomed businesslike appearance at all times.
  • Maintains valid driver's license and state minimum auto insurance.
  • Regular physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • 5+ years of outside sales within the IT Services space - Printer/Copier Sales experience is acceptable.
  • Excellent client communications skills and ability to convert new leads to be clients
  • Must be polished, personable, highly organized, punctual and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking. Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail. Works with integrity and ethically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
  • Committed to personal professional growth and development.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and confident with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Information technology, software and associated business application certifications preferred
  • B2B Sales/Business Development experience required
  • Information technology or related IT/Phone Systems or software Sales experience preferred
  • Experience calling small business owners & executive level decision makers highly preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of consultative, solutions sales process
  • Ability to develop a conversational aptitude regarding general network technology preferred

Pay: Competitive base, uncapped commissions based on closed sales; OTE is $100-150k+ for 1st year, and $150k+ by second year (there are many sales people in competitive markets that make over $200k annually)
