We are seeking a board-certified Neonatologist for a locum tenens position in California. This opportunity offers a 30-day assignment starting on 08/16/2025, at a Hospital with a NICU. The schedule includes various shift formats, including 12-hour on-site day and night shifts, shorter day shifts with on-call responsibilities, and night call shifts with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing complex neonatal cases, including cleft palate and lip, respiratory conditions, diaphragmatic hernias, genetic disorders, and high-risk infant follow-ups. Familiarity with Epic EMR is preferred.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive care in a NICU
• Manage complex neonatal cases including birth defects and genetic disorders
• Perform procedures related to cleft palate/lip, respiratory conditions, and diaphragmatic hernias
• Oversee care for infants of diabetic mothers
• Participate in high-risk infant follow-up program
• Collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners during night call shifts
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management
• Adapt to various shift formats, including on-site and on-call responsibilities
• Ensure high-quality patient care and family support
Additional Information:
• Board certification in Neonatology required
• Active California medical license required
• Strong clinical skills in managing complex neonatal cases essential
