JOB DESCRIPTION
An Industrial Engineering company specializing in custom conveyor systems design, commissioning, and integration is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding design team. The Mechanical team hires Entry Level (0-2 years' experience) engineers with the goal of improving their professional skillsets in drafting, design, and project execution. You will be given the opportunity to learn and advance at the pace you set for yourself. You will work with tenured engineers who have a deep level of knowledge, as well as various Entry and Mid-level Mechanical Engineers at or near the same level as yourself. Ideal candidates are recent engineering graduates from School of Mines with less than 2 years of experience and a GPA of 3.7+. This individual will be creating designs for mechanical equipment and will design, lay out and detail components and systems. Additional duties include maintaining project drawing files, read shop drawing, and prepare submittal documentation. On the job training will be heavily incorporated to ensure growth of your career. There is also an option to travel to customer sites during product intake and installations, should you choose to do so.
This is a contract-to-hire position that will become permanent after 6 months. This company only promotes internally, leaving plenty of room for advancement. Candidates must pass a drug test.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (GPA 3.7+) School of Mines preferred\
A passion to pursue a career in Mechanical Design and Engineering
0-2 years of experience drafting/designing (Revit, MicroStation, Autodesk, AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc..)
Comfortable taking a background check and drug test

Compensation: $20/hr - $25/hr
