Junior Copywriter and Proofreader Location Hybrid remote in New York, NY :

This role is subject to a flexible hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of 1-2 pre-determined days per week in our mid-town office.

SUMMARY

The Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Junior Copywriter and Proofreader to join our marketing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong proofreading skills and a passion for creating compelling marketing content. In this position, you will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our marketing collateral while also assisting in generating engaging copy and suggesting topics for our marketing efforts, including social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proofread and assist in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of websites, marketing emails, newsletters, and other various marketing collateral, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the copywriter, and the marketing team to create compelling marketing copy that aligns with our marketing goals.
  • Assist in generating ideas and suggesting topics for marketing content, including social media.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive marketing content calendars to guide the organization's marketing efforts.
  • Keep abreast of evolving social media trends and provide valuable insights to enhance our marketing content, including social media topics, to ensure our communication remains current and engaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to adhere to style guidelines.
  • Ability to contribute to brainstorming sessions and suggest topics for marketing content.
  • Self-starter with the ability to stay focused under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of previous work relevant to this position, showcasing your writing and proofreading skills, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant professional experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of project management systems is a plus.

COMPENSATION

The hiring range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 per year. The annual salary that will ultimately be offered to the successful candidate will depend on job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
