Position Overview:
As a Sheet Metal Installer, you will:

• Install custom-fabricated sheet metal roofing, gutters, flashing, and architectural details.
• Work on a variety of historical buildings, ensuring precision and adherence to preservation standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to execute plans on time and within budget.
• Travel to job sites nationwide to work on unique and challenging restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, and install sheet metal components with precision and care.
• Safely work at heights on scaffolding, ladders, and aerial lifts.
• Handle and install specialty materials such as copper, stainless steel, and zinc.
• Ensure all installations meet historical preservation guidelines and project specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sheet metal installation, especially roofing, gutters, and flashing systems.
• Familiarity with materials like copper, steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

• Competitive pay: $25.00 hourly to $45.00 hourly based on skillset and experience

• Minimum Wage Compliance: Employees will be paid in accordance with Illinois’ minimum wage laws, which currently require employers to pay at least the state-mandated minimum wage rate.

• Overtime Pay: Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
