Job Description:

As CFO, you will be a key member of the executive team responsible for building institutional-grade financial capabilities while preparing the organization for and eventually executing potential strategic transactions. This dual mandate requires both operational excellence in managing rapid growth and strategic vision in positioning the company for future opportunities. The role demands a leader who can build out reporting capabilities, optimize unit economics, strengthen banking relationships, and implement sophisticated financial planning and analytics capabilities.

The CFO will work closely with the executive team to execute our 2025 strategy, which is focused on scaling revenue growth and optimizing default management. This includes building a robust finance organization, enhancing credit and portfolio management capabilities, and developing institutional-grade reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy& Leadership

  • Lead development and execution of comprehensive financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Build and lead high-performing finance, accounting, and analytics teams
  • Serve as strategic partner to CEO and board on key decisions and strategic planning
  • Manage banking relationships, including credit facilities and compliance requirements
  • Drive optimization of unit economics across business segments
  • Partner with executive team across functions to drive finance priorities and execute strategic initiatives

Financial Operations & Controls

  • Establish institutional-grade financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analytics capabilities
  • Implement sophisticated forecasting and scenario planning processes
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for revenue growth and default management initiatives
  • Design and implement robust financial controls and risk management framework
  • Oversee treasury operations, cash management, tax management, and capital planning
  • Prepare and present financial performance to the Board on a regular cadence

Strategic Growth& Transactions

  • Partner with executive team on strategic growth initiatives and new market entry
  • Lead financial due diligence and analysis for strategic opportunities
  • Prepare organization for potential strategic transactions or capital raises
  • Develop sophisticated portfolio analytics and credit risk management capabilities
  • Structure and negotiate key commercial and financial partnerships

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 15+ years progressive finance leadership experience in businesses with balance sheet credit risk, ideally within consumer credit
  • Proven success in fintech-bank partnerships and regulated industry experience
  • Track record of scaling fintech companies through rapid growth phases(ideally $10M to

$100M+ revenue)

  • Experience preparing companies for and executing strategic transactions and managing investor relations

Technical Expertise

  • Deep expertise in credit, portfolio management, default management, and unit economics
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulatory environment
  • Experience managing banking relationships and credit facilities
  • Sophisticated financial modeling and analytics capabilities
  • Knowledge of health care revenue cycle management a plus
