2nd Shift General Laborer

This is a full-time position (not temp). We are seeking a 2nd Shift General Laborer to perform the deep cleaning and sanitization of equipment, facility buildings, and grounds including off-site offices and parking. This is an entry level position with the opportunity to learn other roles within the Sanitation department and work under little supervision.    The starting pay for this position is $15.25/hour.
 
What You'll Do:  

• Ensure the safety and legality of food.  
• Perform basic calculations and follow written procedures.  
• Operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, dispense cleaning chemicals.  
• Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks.  
• Work with and motivate other team members.  
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area daily.  
• Ensure all assigned equipment is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and ready for production use.  
• Assist others in cleaning of equipment for improved productivity.  
• Make sure sanitation equipment is clean and properly put up in chemical room.  
• Complete all other duties assigned by leads and management and be willing to assist with coverage in the absence of another Sanitation associate.  
• Ability to work additional hours or beyond standard schedule with little or no notice.

What We Need from You:  

• 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred.  
• Required to take a drug screen during the hiring process.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active awareness of all safety protocols.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform simple mathematics including measurements and fractions.  

• Ability to operate multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment in a safe manner.  
• Ability to work in a moderate to loud manufacturing work environment with wet, humid, and cold conditions under various temperatures ranging from 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
